Game 5 has been allocated as a memorial round to honour Julie Couston (Junior Selector MWNA, member Queenscliff, former member of Collaroy Plateau and West Dee Why) who recently passed away.
To honour her legacy and commitment to netball at Manly Warringah Netball Association we are asking that all players wear a touch of yellow on Saturday. This can be in the way of ribbon, socks or other yellow adornment. West Dee Why's colours were yellow and white.
At 10.00 am a morning tea will be held in the Main Hall in the Clubhouse where we can all congregate to remember Julie. Julie's mother, Evie (MWNA Patron and MWNA Life Member) Peter, Julie's husband and sons, Ryan and Josh have been invited to attend.
Julie and her husband Peter were supporters of JDRF which is an organisation which is dedicated to research and finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
Donations can be made to this charity via the link below. We will also have an avenue for our members to donate on Saturday. Stay tuned on this issue.
